Spin Galaxy’s bonus rules draw a careful line between ordinary promotional play and jackpot-eligible stakes. The welcome offer advertised 150 spins across three deposits, but that does not mean every bonus balance can be used on progressive jackpots. For New Zealand players, the key is to separate the current spin promotion from the wider bonus terms, check contribution rules, and understand how jackpot exceptions affect withdrawals. How Spin Galaxy treats jackpot-eligible bonus play
The short answer is yes: Spin Galaxy limits how general bonus funds contribute when a game carries a progressive jackpot. Its published contribution schedule gives progressive jackpots a 0% contribution rate. In practical terms, wagers on those games do not help meet a turnover target attached to a standard bonus, even if the game itself accepts the stake.
Progressive jackpots sit outside the normal contribution schedule
The same schedule gives standard slots, keno and scratch cards a 100% contribution, while NetEnt slots contribute 50% and re-spin slot games contribute 10%. Table games receive lower rates, from 2% to 8%, depending on the game. Progressive jackpots are the clearest restriction: they contribute nothing towards general bonus wagering.
Why the 150-spin welcome offer is different
The welcome promotion reviewed on 7 October 2026 offered 150 spins over the first three qualifying deposits. Each deposit required at least NZ$10: 50 spins on Big Bass Splash 1000, 40 on Fruitzy Frenzy Feverenzy and 60 on Gates of Olympus 1000. The promotion specifically stated that spin winnings had no advertised wagering requirement.
Wager-free spins do not make every bonus unrestricted
This distinction matters. The current welcome terms are more specific than the general bonus rules, so the no-wagering wording applies to that spin package. It should not automatically be extended to later Daily Deals, Bonus Wheel prizes, loyalty credits or other promotional balances. A jackpot-eligible game may also have separate game terms, so the individual offer should be read before playing.
What the general bonus limits mean for jackpot stakes
Spin Galaxy’s wider terms contain several restrictions that can affect bonus play. General bonus bets are limited to €8 per round and €0.50 per line, while bets of at least 30% of the bonus are identified as irregular. These figures belong to the general contract, not necessarily to the current wager-free welcome spins.
| Game or bonus category | Published contribution | Practical meaning |
|---|---|---|
| Standard slots | 100% | Full contribution under general bonus rules |
| NetEnt slots | 50% | Only half of qualifying turnover counts |
| Re-spin slot games | 10% | Most turnover does not count |
| Table games and most video poker | 8% | Limited contribution |
| Classic Blackjack and Jacks or Better | 2% | Very limited contribution |
| Progressive jackpots | 0% | Does not contribute to general bonus turnover |
Can jackpot winnings still be paid?
A 0% contribution rate does not by itself say that a game is unavailable or that every jackpot win is void. It means the stake does not advance the relevant general bonus requirement. The terms also identify progressive jackpots as exempt from certain published withdrawal ceilings, although other identity, payment and irregular-play checks can still apply.
Check the offer before mixing balances
Spin Galaxy’s welcome allocation must be claimed within 7 days of account opening and cannot be combined with another offer. If a player wants to cancel it, the promotion terms say to contact support before playing the selected games or using the associated deposit. That timing can matter if jackpot play is part of a wider bankroll plan.
Before using bonus funds on a jackpot-eligible title, we recommend checking these points:
- Whether the balance is the specific wager-free welcome award or a separate general bonus.
- Whether the game is classed as a progressive jackpot rather than a standard slot.
- Whether the promotion sets a stake limit, game restriction or withdrawal condition.
- Whether the bonus should be cancelled before the associated deposit or game is used.
What this means for New Zealand players
Spin Galaxy advertises more than 550 games, including progressive titles such as Cash N Riches WOWPOT! Megaways and Absolootly Mad: Mega Moolah. The public pages do not provide a complete live catalogue or account-level cashier, so availability and bonus eligibility should be confirmed after sign-in. Payment checks can also affect withdrawals: the formal policy describes a minimum 24-hour reversible period, and verification may be requested for transactions.
Public reputation information should be treated cautiously. Spin galaxy trustpilot results showed 2.6 out of 5 from four reviews on 7 October 2026, a very small sample. Searches for spin galaxy casino ratings or a spin galaxy Google Pay casino may also produce information that does not match the current New Zealand account rules. The same care applies when comparing spin galaxy pokies, since a game listing does not prove its bonus contribution rate.
Conclusion
Spin Galaxy does limit bonus use on jackpot-eligible stakes in an important sense: progressive jackpots contribute 0% towards general bonus turnover. That rule is separate from the advertised 150-spin welcome, which carried no stated wagering requirement. Players should identify the exact promotion, read its game conditions and avoid assuming that a wager-free spin offer applies to every later reward. Frequently Asked Questions
These answers clarify the main difference between jackpot eligibility, bonus contribution and the specific Spin Galaxy welcome offer.
Can I use a general bonus on a progressive jackpot game?
The published rules identify progressive jackpots as contributing 0% towards general bonus turnover. That does not necessarily confirm that the game is blocked, but wagers on it will not advance the applicable turnover requirement. Always check the individual promotion and game terms before playing.
Does the 150-spin welcome have wagering requirements?
The reviewed welcome promotion stated that winnings from its spins entered the cash balance without advertised wagering requirements. It covered 150 spins across three qualifying deposits. This wording applies to that offer and should not be treated as a promise covering later promotions or loyalty rewards.
Are progressive jackpot winnings subject to a maximum cashout?
The general terms list progressive jackpots as exempt from certain published withdrawal ceilings. That does not remove verification, payment ownership checks or other conditions. A specific welcome cashout cap was not published, so the exact promotion and account terms should be checked before relying on the exemption.
Does Spin Galaxy publish game contribution percentages?
Yes. Its general bonus schedule lists different rates for game categories, including 100% for standard slots, 8% for many table games and 0% for progressive jackpots. These rates describe general bonus turnover. They do not replace the specific conditions attached to a separate free-spin or personalised promotion.
